WHAT IS THE TRICKY TRAY DINNER?
The Academy’s Tricky Tray Dinner is an exciting evening of exhilaration and fun, designed after a traditional Chinese Auction, where you have the opportunity to bid on approximately (200) gift baskets, ranging in value from $100 - $500 that are raffled off throughout the evening. But that’s not all. Just for buying a ticket to the dinner you have the chance of winning an outstanding door prize and you can participate in the grand prize raffle. More details on these outstanding gifts/events will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.

WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO THE ACADEMY'S COMMUNITY?
The Tricky Tray Dinner enables The Academy to raise much-needed funds. Over the past few years goals and milestones have been set in an effort to help prepare The Academy's students for the future. It goes without saying that the tools that our children will need to compete in the world are tremendous, and the monies raised at the Tricky Tray fundraising dinner will significantly help in these efforts. All money raised directly benefits the students.

MAY I DONATE TO THE FUND RAISER?
Absolutely, every gift is welcomed. We strongly encourage each family to become involved in this event by donating a gift basket of their own or contribute towards the compilation of a gift basket with another school family. A gift in the $50 range or higher is recommended.

WHAT KIND OF BASKET MAY I DONATE?
Anything is welcomed! Some baskets are designed around a “theme” (college basket, gardening basket, sports baskets or tickets or memorabilia, electronic items, etc.). Please see the list below for additional ideas. Don't know what to donate or don't have time to shop for a gift? Then please visit our Gift Registry that makes it easy for families to donate to Tricky Tray.

DOES THE BASKET/GIFT HAVE TO BE WRAPPED?
Not necessarily. The Wrapping Committee is more than happy to handle that task for you. Just drop off your gift basket at the school during the designated drop off days and the committee will take it from there.

MAY I MAKE A CASH DONATION OR A DONATION FROM MY BUSINESS?
Yes, Yes, Yes. Any cash will be used to buy items for the auction, for a service of any sort, or we will create a theme around your service or gift donation. Just send in your donation in an envelope marked Tricky Tray Committee and we will do the rest.

WILL I BE RECOGNIZED IN THE PROGRAM?
Any person or business that makes a donation to the fund raiser will be recognized in our program that is distributed at the Tricky Tray Dinner.

HOW CAN I HELP?
Volunteer your time to help. Everyone is welcome. The following assistance is needed: solicitation, wrapping of gift baskets, selling the grand prize raffle tickets, set-up the day of the event, working the night of the event, decorations committee, just to name a few. We need The Academy Community and the OLP Parish Community to support this fund raiser by purchasing tickets and joining us at this extremely exciting and important event.

HOW DO I MAKE MY RESERVATION AND ANY SEATING REQUESTS?
We encourage all new Academy mothers (and fathers) to attend this wonderful evening. We work diligently to put together tables in such a way that will make you feel comfortable and have an opportunity to meet other new mothers and school parents. You may also organize a group of friends, family or neighbors outside of The Academy. All are welcome!

WHAT SIZE GROUP CAN I REQUEST FOR A TABLE?
Your request may be for 1 to 12 individuals. There is a limited number of tables that seat 12 individuals. These tables will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. The average table size is 10.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?
Don't delay. Get out there and shop for your Tricky Tray Gift Donation, and call one of the committee members to get involved!
