Instrumental Music at the Academy!
Learning to play an instrument is one of the best gifts we can give our children! Band is a safe place for all, a creative outlet and a challenge. Learning an instrument increases cognitive reasoning, enhances collaborative work, gives an emotional outlet and offers creative thinking. We hope that your child chooses to pursue an opportunity to learn an instrument and extend their creative knowledge.
Please use the form below to sign up to participate in band with Mr. S. Individual/small group lessons will take place during the school day and before school (at 8 am). Please know that families are responsible for renting their child's instrument. We recommend using elefante music in Berkeley Heights.
This opportunity is offered to all students in grades 4-8. The cost to participate for the year is $300. If families choose to pay by check, they can be made payable to The Academy of Our Lady of Peace. Families may opt to pay using Smart Tuition. Mr. S will follow up with additional information regarding instrument rental after registration.

Please Join Us – Make The Academy Pledge!

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is a Catholic elementary school. In 2020, financial responsibility for The Academy was returned from the Archdiocese of Newark to the School Board and Our Lady of Peace Parish. The Academy relies primarily on tuition to fund its operations, but tuition covers only a portion of The Academy’s operating costs. Fundraising, led by the Home School Association (HSA) and The Academy of Our Lady of Peace Foundation, plays a critical role in covering expenses not handled by tuition. Since 2010, the Foundation has helped families and students in financial need. Sponsored by the Foundation, The Academy Pledge is a three-year gift toward a $500,000 goal. All Foundation proceeds are used for the benefit of The Academy and its students. The Foundation operates with minimal administrative expenses. Donations are tax-deductible, as The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Working together, we can ensure that this gift of Catholic education within our community will be available for current and future generations. The Academy’s students, parents, teachers and staff – all of us – are grateful for your generosity.   PLEDGE
