 Field Day T-Shirt Money ($12) is due May 18th. Please send in promptly.


o Please join the HSA in a school wide parent meeting on May 22nd at 7:30PM in the school gym. We request that each family have at least one family member in attendance as we discuss plans for the 2018-2019 school year. Thank you!


o AOLP students have been preparing for their performances of “Cinderella”. Please join us for the performances Friday May 11 at 7:30pm and Saturday May 12 at 2pm.

o Admission is free for students, and $5 for adults.

o The students have been working since January on this production and it promises to be a delight!

Academy Summer Reading Book Fair at Barnes and Noble in Livingston, May 16th 9am – 9 pm

o Please attend this one-day book fair at Barnes and Noble at the Livingston Mall. We will have many titles from the teachers’ summer reading lists. We will also have some student presentations and a visit from a certain panther. Is that not enough to convince you? Ok, Barnes and Noble will also feature an Academy Frappuccino in the café. Flavor? Name? You’ll have to come to find out!! ANY purchase you make that day on any item in the store will count towards the Academy sales and we will get a %.

o Please see the attached flyer. Please forward this flyer to your extended family and friends. You don’t have to be an Academy family to purchase books from our fair.

o Those out of town or who are unable to come out to the store on the 16th may order books and other merchandise online by using the code found on the flyer. There is free shipping for orders $25 and over.

o Get your summer reading books, support your classmates, spend with friends and family in a stimulating environment and enjoy some special refreshments – all for a great cause – The Academy!!!

Memorial Day Parade & Picnic

o Monday May 28th in New Providence. Parade starts at 10AM and our AOLP family picnic begins right after we finish marching. It’s a great event in town, come join us!

o Anyone who will be attending should RSVP. Although it is not necessary to RSVP, it would be more helpful to have an estimate of attendees so we could plan properly for the event.

Robotics Team Update

o Save your empty dental items, toothpaste and boxes, empty floss containers, old toothbrushes and the packaging from the new brushes. We also collect empty Little Bites packages. Thank you for your support.

Uniform Swap

o There is a great selection of previously worn uniform items available for FREE in the H.S.A. closet in the basement of the school. Come visit the closet (you must sign in at the school’s office first). Clothes are sorted by type and neatly organized in bins.

Protecting God’s Children

o All volunteers working in the school or at events with children must complete a Protecting God’s Children (PGC) workshop. It is important to get this certification completed early so that you can fully participate in volunteering.
